I never tire of creative people assuring me that I'm doing art wrong; fortunately, they never tire of telling me.

Thank you for sharing yet another explanation of what I should be doing that I'm not doing.

Much needed! I don’t have a community at the moment, which is one of the reasons I chose Substack—to spend some, hopefully, quality time here. To get into the flow of writing and to both nurture and be nurtured by the people in this space.

Thanks, Nena for sharing your experience. Substack is a great space to connect. In later invitations this month, I will share more specifics about how to create and participate in community. Thank you for being here in this community!

This is a wonderful topic. I am lucky enough to have several groups of art friends. It took time and effort to put these groups in place and I make sure to keep them meeting on a regular basis. Looking forward to hearing more.

Pamela,

Sounds like luck had nothing to do with it - you made those groups happen! I am glad for you that you have communities that enrich you.

I also have spearheaded groups in order to make sure I have the experiences I want - ones that are mutual and that help me grow.

This month, we will look at the entire landscape of our lives - the people in them - and how each type of group affects our creative lives.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
